The “DM shack” is a local, wooden house in the town, a 5 minute walk from the dive center.

The “DM shack” is a local, wooden house in the town, a 5 minute walk from the dive center. There is a large outside area and shared veranda with seating and table that interns can use to relax and unwind after a day in the ocean. There are facilities to hang hammocks if people want to bring them.
The house is laid out with an open-plan kitchen and lounge area in the center. There are 2 dorm rooms that lead off the central space fitted out with bunk beds (complete with mosquito nets). There is also a shared bathroom.
A maid comes to clean periodically but it is the responsibility of the housemates to clean up after themselves and keep the place in order.
Regular inspections are made by XTC Staff to ensure that the facilities are being kept clean.
Accommodation is basic and you will need to bring your own bed linens and towel.
